ZZ Top New Zealand shows: Everything you need to know

Their Elevation tour is raising the roof in three cities

The time is finally here. ZZ Top have landed in New Zealand ready for their Elevation Tour with special guest George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

The first of three concerts kicks off tonight in Christchurch’s Wolfbrook Arena (May 15).

The rockers will then head up to the North Island to play at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday (May 17) and on Sunday (May 18), Wellington’s TSB Arena will close out this leg of the tour.

One Perth concert-goer described George Thorogood as “awesome” and “belonging on stage” and ZZ Top as “Gods”. So if that’s anything to go off, it’s sure to be an epic night of rock ‘n’ roll.

Getting there

As with all shows, it’s best to plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to get to the venue. Traffic can be heavy and parking may be limited.

Wolfbrook Arena Parking & Public Transport

The arena has a limited number of on-site parking spaces, which fill up quickly on event days. These are generally allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is key if you want to secure a spot.

Bus Stops are located close to the stadium on Lincoln Road and Whiteleigh Avenue. For more info on bus routes and times, see the Metro Bus website.

Designated areas for ride-sharing services, taxis, and personal drop-offs are located near the arena entrances.

Tip: Plan your journey ahead of time and consider potential delays due to concert traffic.

Accessibility Parking

Mobility Parking is available directly opposite the front entry of the Arena in the main car park. Only vehicles with the appropriate Mobility Pass will be allowed entry.

Wolfbrook Arena provides wheelchair accessibility throughout the venue. There are accessible toilets located in all bathrooms.
