Watch: Disturbed’s David Draiman proposes to girlfriend onstage during show

David Draiman paused his recent show to pop the question.

Disturbed frontman David Draiman surprised the crowd - and his partner - by proposing onstage during his recent show in Sacramento.

On Friday nights show (May 9), the band had just finished performing ‘The Sound of Silence,’ before Draiman paused the show to pop the question.

A video shared to Draiman’s social media shows the frontman asking for his girlfriend, model Sarah Uli, to come up to the stage.

After she joins him, he introduces her to the crowd, “Everybody, say hello to my lovely lady, Sarah,” before he prepares for the big moment.

“She’s looking at me and she’s wondering, ‘what the fuck is he doing?’,” said Draiman.

“Sarah, my love. You have made my life so much better. You are the light in the darkness for me. I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and it would be the absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence…” he said, before dropping a knee and taking out a ring.

“Sarah Uli, will you marry me?”

Cheers erupted from the crowd as Uli, visibly emotional, nodded a yes.

Uli took to social media later on, sharing a photo of the moment, writing: “The happiest moment ever with the love of my life. We are engaged!!!!”

There’s some mixed reactions in the comments - with some people finding the proposal a bit cringe - and others just stoked for the couple.

“So excited we got to witness this tonight. Congratulations,” wrote one fan.

“I was there, I lost my mind,” wrote another.

While a third wrote, “Cringe level: 95/100.”

Love it or cringe at it - it’s a moment the crowd and the couple won’t forget.
