After months of no live shows, Foo Fighters have announced their first show for 2025.
The band are set to headline the Singapore F1 Grand Prix concert series on Saturday 4th October this year.
Foo Fighters announced the performance yesterday (May 15), sharing official artwork and writing, “Singapore, see you soon!!!”
Crowded House, The Smashing Pumpkins, Elton John and more are among the bands and artists that will also be performing over the three day event.
If the Foos don’t announce another show before this one, it’ll mark their first ‘proper’ live show in nearly 14 months.
A few days after Dave Grohl announced his personal news about fathering a baby outside of his marriage, Foo Fighters pulled out of their scheduled set at the music festival Soundside in Connecticut, and haven’t played a full show as a band since.
We have seen Grohl appear in a handful of performances lately though. In January he performed alongside the other surviving members of Nirvana for a surprise set at LA’s FireAid benefit concert.
That gig saw Nirvana perform a four song set, with St. Vincent, Joan Jett, Kim Gordon and Grohl’s daughter Violet join them for vocals.
A month later, Nirvana reunited once again, this time with Post Malone on Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary show.
Most recently, Grohl made a surprise appearance at Coachella, teaming up with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra for ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’ and ‘Everlong.’
We’re pumped to see Grohl, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee and Josh Freese performing onstage together again.
