Liam Gallagher set to become a grandfather

Liam's daughter recently announced the news on Instagram.

Liam Gallagher is to become a grandfather for the first time.

The 52-year-old Oasis singer is a father-of-four but will soon welcome his first grandchild into the family.

Gallagher's eldest child, daughter Molly Moorish Gallagher, announced on Wednesday that she is to become a mother.

Taking to Instagram, Molly - who's a model - shared a string of photos alongside a caption stating "bulking season" complete with a pregnant woman emoji.

The cover image showed the 27-year-old with a hand on her growing bump and smiling alongside footballer boyfriend Nathaniel Phillips, 28 - who reacted to the post to write, "Can't wait, love you both loads" along with a red heart emoji.

Other snaps showed Molly posing with a baby's top emblazoned with a slogan reading "Cool mums have cool kids" and holding a mug with "mum" written on it.

Molly was born in March 1998 and is a result of Liam's affair with singer Lisa Moorish, 53, from when he was married to his first wife, Patsy Kensit, 57, and he reportedly did not meet her until May 2018.

Lisa was among those congratulating Molly on her pregnancy announcement, writing, "Waaaaaaah! Can't wait to be (a grandmother)" along with heart emojis.

Brother Gene Gallagher, 23, who Liam shares with his second wife, Nicole Appleton, 50, also reacted to the announcement by posting a string of heart emojis.

Liam and Patsy share a son, Lennon, who was born in September 1999, and the Oasis star is also father to a 12-year-old daughter named Gemma, who is the product of his affair with journalist Liza Ghorbani, 51, when he was married to Appleton.
