Whittaker's just dropped a new flavour that might dethrone the iconic Peanut Slab

They've gone and done it again!

All Whittaker’s Peanut Slab lovers, I’mma need you to sit down for this one, because Whittaker’s latest nutty creation might just one-up one of our most beloved favourites.

I’ve spent many years happily demolishing slab after slab, but their newest twist on the classic has made me do a 180.

Word from Whittaker’s this morning is that a new Peanut & Caramel Brittle block is officially on the way.

Oop, please excuse me while I mop the puddle of drool off my keyboard…

This new choccy block has all the good stuff we already love about Whittaker’s peanut chocolate - their signature smooth 5 Roll Refined Creamy Milk chocolate, and a decent sprinkling of roasted peanuts to keep things crunchy.

But it’s the salted butter caramel brittle that’s been added to the mix that’s taking this one to the next level.

“The addition of the delicious salted caramel brittle, alongside the peanuts, really delivers on flavour and texture,” says Whittaker’s Chief Marketing Officer, Soraya Cottin.

We’re talking salty, sweet, crunchy, creamy… all the goods.

We don’t have to wait long to get our hands on it, either.

The Peanut & Caramel Brittle block will be hitting supermarket shelves across Aotearoa from Monday 28 April.

I fear a few blocks will need to be coming home with me, because one won’t even survive the car ride home, let alone making it into the pantry.
